Hi! Welcome to my website. I am Tian Xintong Kenneth, an MPhil-PhD student in Global Studies at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. I began my PhD studies at CUHK(SZ) in 2023. Previously, I received a Master's Degree in International Relations from the University of Coimbra in 2019 and a BA in Portuguese Language and Literature from Beijing International Studies University in 2017.
My research sits at the intersection of comparative politics and international security, focusing on how domestic dynamics shape the initiation and termination of international conflict. Methodologically, I use formal models and quantitative methods, and I also write code for machine learning.
From 2019 to 2023, I was a lecturer in Portuguese at Beijing International Studies University and served as the Head of the Portuguese Language Division from 2021 to 2023.
